Club3D produces passively cooled version of the Radeon X1950 Pro05.26.2019
Alternative cooling systems for the Radeon X1950 Pro graphics cards offered by many manufacturers, but only PowerColor (TUL) swung to create a passively cooled version. However, no exclusive know-how at the same time use is not planned - PowerColor simply going to install the video card passive radiator on thermal tubes, known to us under the name Arctic Cooling Accelero S1. The solution is quite natural, because PowerColor has experience of cooperation with Arctic Cooling: ready video card with the alternative cooling system is cheaper set of "DIY", consisting of a reference card and the retail version of the cooler.
Recall that PowerColor company was going to release the passively cooled version Radeon X1950 XT with all the same cooler Accelero S1, but then enthusiasm somewhat diminished, since even this dimensional radiator could not cope with the cooling of the graphics card Radeon X1950 XT, running at standard frequencies.
Although the company PowerColor has not yet decided to issue the promised video cards, intersecting it at Club3D brand range of products offered to passively cooled version of the Radeon X1950 Pro with 256 MB of memory, and PCI Express x16 interface. This told colleagues Computerbase.de site.
Video card equipped with 256 MB of memory type GDDR-3 with a 256-bit bus running at 600/1400 MHz frequencies, supports VIVO function and HDCP. Manufacturer coyly hinted that the graphics card is "ready to support HDMI» - obviously meant to connect a DVI port and an appropriate adapter.
Memory chips are equipped with their own aluminum radiators. It is difficult to judge how well they are cool, because for effective passive video card cooling it is important to ensure good ventilation of the system unit.
Video card Radeon X1950 XT with 512 mb of memory type GDDR-3 by Club3D has received well-proven Accelero X2 cooler production all the same company Arctic Cooling. As with similar product Sapphire, this card works at frequencies 625/1600 MHz. This new product also supports HDCP and VIVO.
One can imagine that identical video card will appear in the company's portfolio of products TUL (PowerColor). Prices of new products from Club3D are not specified.
